At San Diego Comic Con, Scott and I announced a new animated webseries we’ll be doing for Namco Bandai’s ShiftyLook. If you haven’t been watching, you should — Namco Bandai’s been working with tons of cartoonists and writers, letting them run wild with their library of video games. The most impressive thing about ShiftyLook is how much free reign they’re giving artists. They want to see remixes, new concepts, game premises shaken to their core.

Our series will star their 1983 mouse cop, Mappy. Mappy was an arcade platformer where this little policemouse gathered stolen paintings and evidence from a multi-level mansion, while being chased by cats. He used trampolines to bounce up to other floors. All I knew of the game before this was that the music was super catchy and I tended to die after 4 seconds.

The webseries will be done very much in the spirit of our Blamimations — they know exactly what we do best — and have a full season to boot! We’ll be announcing more in weeks to come!
